Kicking off 2019 is a new brand: Salt Tech Restaurant Concepts, a series of culinary eateries devoted to experimentation and the finer details of constructing food.
As I grow into my design style, I’m taking a deeper look at complete branding. Its not enough to create a stand alone logo; these designs must operate within a holistic brand and framework. Here, Salt Tech is given some extra flare which will become handy as they start to grow their brand through digital and physical mediums. For example, a business card designer will not need to reinvent Salt Tech’s look, but instead, borrow from the brand’s existing elements. This consistency in design will drive brand identity.
Some recurring elements include:
– 3D dimensional ‘blue-print’ objects
– grid lines, brackets, and naming lines
– a focus on ingredients abbreviated similar to chemical elements
– gritty texture
– earthy tone colors
