Excited to share key art for San Luis Potosí’s upcoming 15th Annual Rodrigo Solís Badminton Tournament.
This is Saúl Solís, the son of Rodrigo Solís, and our poster model for this year.
Since I spend most of my time on logos with letters and 2D shapes, it’s a treat to work on something photo-based. The trick here was taking a normal photo and turning it into something that pops—something that feels as big as the event itself. We achieved this by exaggerating the shadows and highlights to make Saúl look as if he were painted. The noise texture hides pixelation and gives it a tactile feel.
