Hello from Spain! COVID-19 has us in lock down for the foreseeable future… which means a lot of free time… which means finally some time for personal projects!
Here’s Lixboa – a custom type graffiti design inspired by some art we found on the streets of Lisbon, Portugal. Lisbon, or Lisboa, or LX, is sometimes referred to by its way way back name, Lixboa.
Steps I took:
- Become inspired (motivated)
- Plug into some Portuguese music.
- Sketch in a specific graffiti style – strokes heavier towards the top and thinner at the bottom.
- Recreate the sketch in AI using mostly the line width tool.
- Tinker in photoshop until the design is somewhat realistic.
